Crochet Dragonfly Keychain – Free Pattern and Tutorial

Crochet Dragonfly Keychain

Large Wing (Top Wing)
Ch 20, 2dc in 4th Ch from hook,
1 dc in next 7 chs,
sc next ch,
1 dc in next 7 chs,
5dc last ch (pull gap tight in st w/5dc’s)
You’ll now work up the opposite side of the chain
(back side of the foundation chain)

1 dc in next 7 chs,
sc next ch,
1 dc in next 7 chs,
2 dc in last ch and slst to the top of 3chs, fasten off and weave in tails.

Small Wing (Bottom Wing)
Ch 16, 2dc in 4th Ch from hook,
1 dc in next 5 chs,
sc next ch,
1 dc in next 5 chs,
5dc last ch (pull gap tight in st w/5dc’s)
You’ll now work up the opposite side of the chain
(back side of the foundation chain)

1 dc in next 5 chs,
sc next ch,
1 dc in next 5 chs,
2 dc in last ch and slst to the top of 3chs, fasten off and weave in tails.

Assemble
Add beads for the bottom, hold the 2 wings together and thread through both wings in the center of each wing and add your large bead at the top and thread back down, tie a knot at the top of the large bead before threading back through the wings and the bottom beads and knot both thread on the bottom to prevent the beads from falling off.
