Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the texture of this blanket adds an extra layer of comfort. The ribbed design, created by working into the back loops, gives the fabric a stretchy, plush quality that makes it extra snuggly.

Plus, the ability to customize the size means you can tailor it to your specific needs, whether you want a smaller version for a stroller or a larger one for a cozy throw. No matter how you choose to use it, this Rainbow Baby Blanket is sure to bring warmth, comfort, and a splash of color to any setting.

Customizing Your Blanket

  • You can adjust the width by increasing or decreasing the number of starting chains.
  • To make the blanket longer, simply add more rows while following the color sequence.
  • The ribbed effect is created by working in the back loops only (BLO) of each stitch across every row.
  • The chain 2 at the beginning of each row counts as a half double crochet (hdc).
  • Each color section consists of 6 rows before transitioning to the next color.
